Sts Anne and Joachim is geographically one of the largest Catholic parishes in Victoria. It spans the northwest corner of the Ballarat Diocese, including Irymple, Manangatang, Merbein, Mildura, Red Cliffs, Ouyen, Robinvale, Underbool and Werrimull.
Volunteer Your Services
Soup Kitchen
On our Mildura church grounds every Monday and Wednesday, volunteers from our parish, schools, and community groups serve a hot two-course meal, restaurant-style, to all comers. Volunteer cooks and servers are always welcome to join the roster.
Mass Rosters
Our parish is blessed with a large cohort of volunteers who generously donate their time and talent to our liturgy: from altar servers and computer operators, to sacristans, lectors, musicians, collectors, counters and extraordinary ministers of holy communion.
Communion Visits
Our priests do their best to regularly visit the house bound and residents of aged care facilities. A team of lay volunteers supplement this priestly ministry by visiting parishioners, praying with them, and ministering holy communion.
A Community of Communities
Sts Anne and Joachim is a new parish which brings together nine church communities which previously formed five parishes. Each community has its own history and character which enriches our community of communities.

Parish Affiliates
St Vincent de Paul Society
The St Vincent de Paul Society is dedicated to providing assistance, friendship, and hope to individuals and families facing hardship. By volunteering your time or donating resources, you answer Christ’s call to love our neighbour and be His hands and feet in the world. Together, we can live out the Gospel message of compassion and charity.
Knights of the Southern Cross
The Knights of the Southern Cross promote Catholic values and strengthen our faith community through fellowship and public works of service. By joining our brotherhood you respond to every Christian man’s duty to be a witness to Christ’s Gospel in both word and deed. We live out our Catholic mission through charitable works and fraternal support.

Parish Feast Day
Celebrate the feast of Sts Anne and Joachim at our Vigil Masses in Mildura and Robinvale. A light supper will be served after both Masses. New parish prayer cards will be distributed at all Masses this weekend.

Knights’ Feast Day
Celebrate the feast of St Mary of the Cross, patron saint of Australia and patron saint of the Knights of the Southern Cross. Following the Saturday Vigil Mass in Mildura, the Knights are hosting a pizza tea to which everyone is invited.

Indian Community Festa
The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary coincides with Indian Independence Day. To celebrate, parishioners from our Indian Community have organised a special brunch which all parishioners are invited to share in.

Our Lady of the Rosary Festa
Mass in Italian and English, concluding with a Solemn Procession and Blessing. Following Mass the festivities include food stalls, a continuous BBQ, plants and crafts for sale, children’s entertainment, and many prizes to be won.
